About Worth Concrete
With over 80 combined years of experience,
Worth Construction, Inc.
Robert L. (Sonny) Worth, Jr. began his career
in the construction industry in 1968. In 1985, he decided
to branch out into business for himself, as Sonny Worth
Concrete. His work consisted of residential sidewalks and
patios. In 1987, Sonny Worth Concrete became Worth
Construction, Inc. During this time, Worth Construction,
Inc. employed 5 people. Of those, youngest son Paul worked
part-time for the company while still in high school. Upon
graduation, Paul became a full-time employee. Oldest Son
Robert L. (Lee), III also became a full-time employee upon
his discharge from the United States Navy in 1987. At this
time, Sonny began to branch out into commercial curb and
gutter work for housing developments. The company continued
to expand to 9 employees.
In 1999, the company purchased its first
Power Curber. A 57B Power Curbing Machine which aided in
larger housing developments and jobs. Two more Super B
Power Curbers were added. One in 2004, and One in 2005.
Currently, Worth Construction Inc. operates 4
crews, for 29 field employees. In 2008, daughter Linda
Steele joined the company to handle the administrative
duties.
Worth Construction, Inc is member of the
Fruitland Chamber of Commerce, NFIB, and registered with
the Maryland Small Business Reserve Program. |
